Senior Engine Programmer (optimisation)

We are working with an award-winning AAA London Game Studio for a talented Senior Programmer (Optimisation) to join their family!

This role will suit someone who is ready for the challenge of producing a AAA title on the next generation platforms. This role will involve working with our core engine team to support our tools, engine features and low-level systems. As a Senior Engine Programmer, you will be working closely with the Lead Engine Programmer to identify and build new profiling tools. You will also work with Gameplay Programmers to help them profile their code and identify optimisations and implement optimisation changes to a high quality.

Your Skills:

  • Advanced understanding in C/C++
  • Advanced understanding of computer graphics and game technology principles
  • An advanced understanding of the main gaming platforms and the requirements needed to develop software on them
  • Experience using profiling tools to identify CPU & GPU performance issues
  • Experience working across disciplines to implement optimisations to achieve performance goals
  • Unreal Engine 3 or 4 experience a big advantage
  • Experience working with games consoles (Xbox360/PS3/PS4)
  • Worked on at least 1 published title
