Amiqus are working in partnership with one of the UK’s most successful and award-winning indie game developers to help them attract a talented Senior Monestisation Designer to join their self-funded independent games studio in, Central London (currently working remotely).

 

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be working as part of the studios Design Team and take ownership of their monetisation strategies and in-game economies. You’ll work closely with the Analytics Team to monitor and improve key performance indicators from a design perspective.

As a Monetisation Designer, your responsibility is to understand how a game works as a service for players, as well as how the players behave whilst playing. You'll develop monetisation strategies within the game economy and provide a constant data-driven recommendation on design, tuning, and pricing in order to improve financial performance.

 

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work with data analysts to help design and balance in-game economies and tune gameplay experiences to make our games better
  • Lead multi-discipline feature groups, working with a team to develop and deliver our monetisation strategy as well as new systems and features.
  • Respond to feedback and data, identify issues, brainstorm solutions and pitch them to the wider team.
  • Communicate your designs clearly through documentation, mockups, diagrams, discussions and presentations.
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of quality in our work, prioritising the player's experience.

  • Play and analyse the wider gaming market to maintain expert knowledge of game design practices, trends and solutions.

 

Requirements and Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 5 years of experience working in a game design role
  • Direct experience on a PC/console/mobile F2P online game
  • Experience working on live/games-as-a-service titles
  • Experience working on multiplayer game economies
  • Creative problem solving and communication skills
  • Experience leading multi-discipline teams of developers
