- Front-end Developer, Gameplay Programmer, Programmer, UI Programmer, Unity Programmer
A Midlands based games studio is currently looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to work on developing new in-depth content for an already existing, successful PC/Console title. They are currently going through a period of expansion and require this Gameplay programmer to help develop gameplay systems and other areas such as UI, bug fixing, player movement and inventory management systems, to name a few.
This role can offer a chance to own quite a large area of the code development and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small indie team. This would suit a generalist programmer who enjoys working in a flat structure, where they can get involved with different disciplines of programming and attend regular games industry events on behalf of the studio.
This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your coding – their gameplay style is at the heart of their flagship title, so it’s important to understand the overall experience of playing the game, rather than focusing solely on the mechanics.
There is a competitive salary on offer, including exclusive studio benefits, flexible working hours, pension, enhanced family leave, supplied equipment, training and development plans and a generous holiday allowance.
This role can be 100% remote working (indefinitely), or hybrid working if you prefer. However, you must be based in the UK already to apply for this role.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in the games industry
- Released titles on either PC or Console platforms
- Experience with Unity and C#
- Experience with multiple disciplines of programming such as gameplay, UI, tools etc
- A strong portfolio demonstrating live code or games you’ve worked on
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a studio who have shipped a title which garners well over 10 million players a month. To apply please send your CV to will.hudson@amiqus.com
