Senior Gameplay Programmer

North West studio that thrive on creating immersive gameplay, award-winning culture, collaboration and ingenuity are seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer;

With several projects released already, plus multiple in development concurrently - the studios connection and demonstrables in creating AAA Video Games shines through, as they continue to secure significant IP's that are sure to raise an eyebrow from any avid gamer.

Challenges are numerous, the studio champions a supportive environment conducive to great game development - as a contributor to a core team, you'll carry a lot of weight and help create amazing titles across PC and Console (Current and Next Gen of course)

Key Skills

• Prototype, iterate, implement, and polish new and existing gameplay mechanics, and assosciated systems;
• Produce robust, efficient, clear and maintainable code - while striving to reduce technical debt across the game;
• Respond to design feedback, to help meet the creative vision of the team; and
• Be a point of contact for designers, artists, and other coders with regards to the systems you create and maintain.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of, and experience working with, C++;
• Confidence working with 3D maths (vectors, matrices, linear algebra)
• General software engineering knowledge (OOP, design patterns, API development); and
• An 'intuition' and interest, in 'game feel'.
