(SENIOR) GAME PRODUCER wanted!
Celebrating its 13th year in the video games industry, the Kalypso Media Group is a privately owned, global, independent developer, marketer and publisher of interactive entertainment software with close to 100 employees worldwide, operating from seven offices across Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Kalypso Media enjoys a very strong global digital distribution through its Kalypso Media Digital subsidiary. Furthermore, the group owns a mobile game branch and two development studios securing a constant supply of high quality game franchises, such as “Tropico”, “Railway Empire” and “Commandos”, and works with multiple leading independent developers.
To complete the team of producers, we are looking for a (Senior) Game Producer, primarily working in the headquarters based in Germany. Game Producers are responsible for game development projects, working closely with internal and external development teams.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Supervision of projects from the first pitch to closing kit (concept to ship)
- Define and finalize game projects in time, budget and quality
- Be a mentor, motivator and personal interface to development teams
- Create and approve development milestones and control the budget
- Serve all stakeholders within the company and outside actively
- Organize and maintain project plans, documentation and game design pillars
- First contact regarding “your” products within the company
- Coordination of localization and support of QA and submission
Your skills and experience:
- Proven experience (>3 years) in video game production or development
- Available track record of projects released
- Experience in Strategy, Management and/or Simulation video game genres as well development on next-gen consoles would be appreciated
- Multitasking and keeping on track of several projects simultaneously
- Client-oriented work style (internal and external stakeholders)
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (and German if possible)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and energetic team-player
- Advanced project management skills (Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) and comprehensive software and tool (Jira, Mantis, Hansoft, etc.) knowledge expected
- Professional negotiation skills, entrepreneurial spirit and the willingness to travel
