Senior Software Engineer - AWS - Greenfield development

Who are you?
You’re an experienced Senior CMS Engineer with a superb track record in Cloud technologies, and you love to learn and tackle new technical challenges. You have acted as a problem solver (engineer) who is up for the challenge of building a team that will build an Enterprise-scale, highly performant, resilient, system using AWS. This studio requires the best talent with software architecture experience and experience of building always-on, highly scaled systems that are both consumer and internal-facing.  They need someone who will take ownership and build a system they're proud of and that they can be enthusiastic about.

Responsibilities & Experience
Design & implement a large scale scalable CMS / CRM web application.
Replace a legacy CMS, is a greenfield development, using AWS.
Experienced in streaming media and the protection required around that content.
Experienced developing a backend that can feed a game quality UI with data and scale infinitely.
Experience moving “customers” from the backend to a marketing team so they can be exploited.
Experience with S3, Lambda, NoSQL, Server to Server DRM, Server to Server App purchasing
10 years + in Distributed Systems Architecture
A high level of cloud based development & integration experience.
Supporting a consumer-facing platform, preferably being on-call.
Working with secure systems implementing TLS, encryption, OAuth or 3rd party authentication providers
Able to effectively work with a client to full understand the requirements & execute upon a staged delivery.
Experience building and managing a team of web application developers
App related services such as server-side In-App Purchase verification
Experience of Business Intelligence: Analytics, Reporting and Data Visualisation

Bonus skills:

AWS Certified
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent
Experience and track record in consulting or developing client-facing projects
Excellent debugging and optimization skills working 
Multiple shipped software products
Broad or deep technology domain experience; areas such as computer vision, rendering, console development, mobile development, cross-platform, machine learning, networking, etc.

This is an initial 3 month contract with distinct possibility of an extension. Rate to £600 day
