Senior UI Artist

A Midlands based AAA Games studio are currently undergoing an expansion due to the success of their last few titles and require an experienced UI Artist to work on a new AAA console title.

As the UI Artist you will hit the ground running and be able to create breath-taking user interfaces for this new title, which they anticipate will achieve a high Metacritic score. 

The studio have a long standing history in creating some of the best games on the market on console platforms. As the UI Artist, you will assist on implementing solid User Interfaces, ensuring the quality bar stays high and consistent with the games layout. You will be tasked with producing concepts, prototypes and executing the graphical front-end, such as menus, icons and buttons which users can interact with. You will also be tasked with designing the user experience (UX) to each feature in the game and will work very closely with the Co-Founders on this.  

The role will complement someone looking for creative freedom and a chance to leave their thumbprint on a range of new projects, overseeing features from concept to completion. The ideal candidate’s portfolio will contain good solid UI work in a AAA console environment. 

This is a 12 month FTC with the possibility of being extended or being made permanent. 

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the games industry as a UI Artist/Designer
  • Released at least 1 console game 
  • An interest in story-telling/action genres 
  • Experience with Photoshop + Illustrator 
  • A portfolio demonstrating your art work
