A Liverpool based games studio is currently looking for a Senior Unity Developer to work on a new PC/Console title. They are currently going through a period of expansion and require this Unity Developer to help manage and mentor a small team of Coders alongside the Lead Programmer, whilst getting involved with developing the new game.

This role can offer a chance to own quite a large area of the code development and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small indie team. This would suit a generalist programmer who enjoys working in a flat structure, where they can get involved with different disciplines of programming, such as gameplay, UI, Bug fixing and inventory management and attend regular games industry events.

This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your coding – their gameplay style is at the heart of all their games so it’s important to understand the overall experience of playing the game, rather than focusing solely on the mechanics.

There is a competitive salary on offer, including exclusive studio benefits, flexible working hours, pension, bonus, private medical + dental + optical insurance, supplied equipment and parking permits if needed.

This role can be 100% remote working (indefinitely), or hybrid working. However you must be based in the UK or within the EU already to apply for this role.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the games industry
  • Released titles on either PC, Console or Mobile platforms
  • Experience with Unity and C#
  • Experience with multiple disciplines of programming such as gameplay, UI, tools etc
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating working Apps, live code or games you’ve worked on
  • Past lead or mentoring experience
  • An interest or experience with procedural generation
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a studio who are working on a range of new games, which you will have a hand in from start to finish. To apply please send your CV to will.hudson@amiqus.com
