This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key part of the future of one of the UK’s most successful indie game developers.


As the Product Manager, you will work with the Studio Leadership, particularly the COO, to help realise the business ambitions of the company. To do this you will have a key role in helping to define the strategies that will drive the achievement of product goals, finding the best external partners for our business and build productive and dynamic relationships with these to achieve the best outcome for the business. You will be constantly thinking about gaining more users to continue incremental growth in revenue throughout the lifecycle of the product. This is a broad role encompassing all aspects of the commercial business, including publishing, licencing and marketing.


What experience and skills MUST the person already have?

  • In depth knowledge of the games industry and excellent business acumen to contribute fully to the development of brand/product, covering international territories.
  • Challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate.
  • Experience of working with Studio Leadership to identify product roadmap, KPIs and determine the path to achieve these.
  • The ability to create product P&L and financial models to guide decision making on product strategy, pricing and revenue.
  • Regularly analyse revenue and established KPIs, develop forecasts, targets and additional KPIs as appropriate to ensure ongoing drive to reach objectives.
  • The use of data from analysis to provide feedback to leadership on KPIs and provide regular product review to inform decisions.
  • The ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a wide variety of people, both internal and external. We are a humble team and you are expected to be driven to achieve and professional in your execution, whilst reflecting the values and tone of the Studio in how you do business.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities that contribute to business initiatives and the growth of the product/brand.
  • Ownership of revenue & profitability targets and be accountable for results
  • Proven experience of establishing publishing opportunities, working to secure publishing deals with external partners and ensuring an ongoing and strong relationship with these partners throughout the product development cycle.
  • Establishing and maintaining industry networks, enhancing opportunities for mutually beneficial business connections and longer-term development opportunities.
  • Negotiate and review contracts with external vendors to achieve the best possible terms in line with our business strategy and ensuring financially sound deals.
  • Proven experience of responsibility for the day to day delivery of business plan for products.
  • Experience with licensed content, with the ability to identify and develop licensing opportunities, always ensuring brand integrity and partnerships that drive brand values and recognition.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to help build product strategy plans.
  • Develop marketing plans that will help deliver on ambitions for the product in a global market, building passion for the brand, gaining and engaging the players and increasing the brand value.
  • Product management and development experience in a video game company.

  • Data-driven with excellent analytical skills, using this information to provide meaningful feedback.
  • Strong planning skills with attention to detail
  • A deep understanding of the video game industry, consumers and technology.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject
  • Good Excel skills
  • An understanding of a game lifecycle – not just creating plans for product launch.
