Maze Theory is pushing the boundaries of interactive and immersive character-based story telling within VR. They are seeking a technical animator to work on a unique character-based innovation that will become the USP of a major IP’s debut VR game, due for release in 2020. 

As the technical animator, you will be the driving force within the team, specifying requirements, defining & developing the animation pipeline alongside our programmers and constantly raising the quality of the character animations.

To be considered, we would like to see:

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Excellent knowledge of or Maya
Knowledge and understanding of Unity animation production pipelines
Programming/scripting experience in languages such as Python/C++/C# 

It would also be great if you have an understanding of:

  • Producing in-game animation assets
  • Mocap production processes
  • Animation pipelines, including state machines/blend systems


Initially, this is a full-time fixed contract position, with a great salary to match.
