A North West based VR development studio are undergoing a significant expansion due to incoming, high-profile projects and require a talented Python Tools Developer to join their growing VR/AR team.
As a Programmer here you’ll work alongside the Lead Pipeline developer and be tasked with developing and maintaining tools to support production pipelines – your role will be to effectively make the artists lives easier so you’ll be a supremely valued member of the team!
The studio specialise in creating high-quality visuals for 2D and 3D animation, film and commercial projects and you could play an integral part in the growth of this VR/AR department. Your first set of responsibilities will revolve around on gaining an understanding of artistic pipelines and workflows for upcoming projects. You’ll then set about developing tools in Python and providing technical support to the art team to ensure smooth production of all products/experiences.
This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract that is likely to extend
Show me you have:
• An expert understanding of Python with a good understanding of Python based APIs and PySide/PyQT
• An in depth understanding of creative packages: Maya, 3DS Max, Houdini, Nuke, Shotgun etc would be useful
• Ideally you’ll have an appreciation of pipelines/workflows within a VFX/games background
Salary is competitive and dependant on experience and you’ll access to highly collaborative team who are working on some revolutionary projects.
