A London based VR Development Studio are currently looking for a Technical Artist to work on a range of new experiences on VR platforms.

They are currently working on some of the best high-end VR experiences which allow users to experience realistic scenarios, whether this be educational or for treatment use. 

As the Technical Artist you will collaborate with the current Art and Technical Director and develop tools to help streamline their development processes.  You’ll sit between art and code teams to ensure pipelines are consistent and realistic with the brief and contribute to the general quality bar the studio is looking to achieve. You will be working on improvements for their existing experiences and new ones in development. 

The role will complement someone looking for creative freedom and a chance to leave their thumbprint on a brand-new range of projects, overseeing features from concept to completion. If you enjoy working on Technology that is game changing and immersive, then we’d be interested in hearing from you.   

This role can offer the chance to work with games and tech industry veterans who have a great track record of delivering high profile successful projects. This role is remote working initially with a view to work on site in their London offices when it’s safe to do so.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Technical Artist in the games, film, simulation or VR/AR industry
  • Knowledge with the likes of Maya (or 3DS max) and Photoshop 
  • A good problem solver who has an interest in aspects such as optimisation and creating shaders  
  • Experience with Unity engine 
  • A bonus if you have Houdini experience
