Technical Artist - Maya / Max - AAA title

Fantastically well managed Liverpool based developer, seen by the platform holders as a technology innovator, is looking for a Technical Artist to join the team at the very start of the dev of their latest IP.

Key responsibilities -

Must be able to streamline the workflow for the art team whilst working within the framework outlined by the code team

Must be someone who is keen to work with people one-to-one as well as on a team basis

Must be familiar with 3D application based programming languages

Working knowledge of 3D content creation applications (Maya/Max/etc) and game development engines. (UE4/Cryengine/Unity) – expert knowledge of Maya, Max and Motion Builder an advantage

Animation and rigging skills an advantage

Must be pro-active enough to always be investigating new techniques with the necessary skills to implement into a workflow

Should be comfortable both devising and overseeing end-to-end pipelines

Should be comfortable both supporting other artists asset creation as well as creating assets where necessary, especially those with high technical requirements

 

Background

Must have shipped at least 1 AAA game
