Technical Director

  • Location: London
  • Salary/rate: £75,000 - £130,000

This vacancy has now expired.

Are you a Technical Director with experience of working on large online multiplayer games? Do you have an unquestionable UE4 and C++ programming background?

I'm working for a new, growing, team in an already established company. This team is practically a studio within a studio, it is working on a completely different IP than their parent studio is known for. We've helped them hire a number of talented Senior Developers, what they need now is a Technical Director who can bring expertise of game wide architectures, and ideally an understanding of server side multiplayer development. This is the key area of knowledge which they're lacking at the moment.

The project sounds awesome, its a MOBA style PC title, which has a core 20 minute gameplay loop, but then beyond that has an MMO RPG meta-game. It's going to be an original IP, and it's in very early stages of development. This role would see you managing a small, but growing team of talented coders. You'd be working alongside the Production Director and Art Director, this role would see you go into the studio at the top table.

To be considered for this role, we'd like to see:

  • That you've held a recent leadership position in a Games Studio, ideally on a shipped game built using C++ and Unreal Engine 4
  • You have a full understanding of the wider architecture of a MMO title
  • Genuine passion and interest for technology and video games
  • Able to communicate effectively with coders, management and others
  • You're able to bring fresh new ideas and innovations to an already talented team

This studio is based in Central London and offers a host of benefits including Shares, Private Health & Dental Care, 25 days holidays, Bonuses and Free Lunch every day. They are able to offer salaries up to £130,000 for the right individual.
