Do you see yourself as an innovator – a truly pioneering Tools Engineer of technology for multiplayer video games?
Perhaps current projects are winding down and it’s time to cement yourself in Tools Programming, shaping the industry’s vision for upcoming, next-generation, online environments?
You’ll be hard pressed to find a team and studio more passionate about ‘pinging the universe’ for games! With excellent backing and a team of outstanding developers - veterans of the industry – your Tools Programmer knowledge will contribute heavily to core technology that’s reshaping the online immersive experiences for console and PC.
What you’ll do;
- Develop Tools – from initial design to support day-to-day with end clients in games
- Document your workflows in order to easily relay knowledge to both developers and end users
- Research bleeding-edge technology, improving current systems
It’d be great if you have;
- 2 years professional exposure in a similar position
- Strong C# and C++ coding ability
- Confidence and proficiency in Python, or a similar scripting language
- Familiarity with version control tools, git, perforce, mercurial
- Pro-active drive to provide solutions, collaborate in a team, champion a shared vision to improve technology for video games
Desirable skills include;
- Hands-on experience in NoSQL and SQL databases
- Development for and on Linux platforms
- Cross-platform desktop app development; and
- Experience in industry-typical game engines – Unreal Engine, Unity, Lumberyard
