Amiqus have partnered with an exciting AAA games development studio based in Guildford, who are looking to hire a talented Tools Programmer to join their growing team.

The studio has released some of the highest grossing games in the PC and Console market and are looking for someone to help push the quality bar and own the tools development for their new title currently in development. 

As the Tools Programmer, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Technical Director to define the tools strategies of the studio. You will be working on a brand-new project and will work closely with Design and Art teams, helping create, manage and improve current tool sets.    

The studio is working on a new unique project, which they’re aiming to dominate its genre and create its own gameplay style in the process. The role will allow you to be hands-on, with some mentoring responsibilities and the chance to be creative with the tools you develop for the team. 

You’ll help identify areas for improvement and implement tools and processes to overcome potential ‘deadline stoppers’, playing a massive part in building this ambitious new title.  

This role is remote working initially with a view to work on site in Guildford when it’s safe to do so or can be 100% remote if needed (you must be UK/EU based already).


  • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role  
  • Released games on Console, PC or Mobile platforms 
  • Experience with C#
  • Solid Python skills 
  • Past lead or mentoring experience would be a bonus 
  • Experience of asset pipeline design and implementation
  • Good problem-solving nature
