A Dundee based Games studio are currently undergoing an expansion, due to successful project demand and require a UI Artist to help work with a range of mobile titles and make them more awesome!
The studio have a long standing history in creating some of the most unique games on the iOS and Android market, and their previous games have collectively received over 100 million downloads with a consistent daily average user base.
As the UI Artist, you will assist on implementing solid User Interfaces, ensuring the quality bar stays high and consistent with the studios UI strategy. You will be tasked with producing concepts, prototypes and executing the graphical front-end, such as menus, icons and buttons which users can interact with. You will also be tasked with designing the user experience (UX) to each feature in the game and will work very closely with the Art Director on this.
This position comes with a big responsibility of working closely with the Art Director in helping mentor the team and being given the freedom to make studio wide decisions on the UI/UX direction of each title the Studio produce.
The ideal candidate will be able to wear multiple hats and will be working on games which have topped the charts worldwide and for a studio who have a great track record of delivering games, which have accumulated millions of players.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in the games industry as a UI Artist/Designer
- Released at least 1 mobile game
- Experience with Photoshop + Illustrator
- A portfolio demonstrating your artwork
- Experience with Unity
This role is 100% remote working initially (you must be UK based), and can be remote working indefinitely or with some split weeks onsite (when it’s safe to work in-house again).
