Amiqus have partnered with a hugely successful, indie developer in Derby, who are constantly evolving and thriving due to the ambition of its team.
They are now seeking a highly motivated UI Artist, who will be responsible for designing, creating and implementing the UI assets for the game including elements such as icons, menus and fonts. You will work closely with the creative leads to ensure that the UI elements for the game both complement and enhance the users experience while playing the game, by clearly communicating the required information. You will work with UI Programmers to ensure that the final implementation of the UI assets matches that of the pre-approved design.
Responsibilities
- Develop concepts and the design of the game menus and user interfaces.
- Help to create a UI style that fits the art direction of the game.
- Assure that game information is well conveyed through the various user interfaces.
- Create highly polished final assets that go beyond the industry standard.
- Technical integration, bug fixing and visual polish of final design.
- Communicate designs in a technical manner for programming implementation.
- Provide artwork to support team-wide project communication and vision.
- Communicate ideas and needs with different departments.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills
- A Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject or other equivalent experience.
- A portfolio demonstrating previously created game UI examples
- Excellent knowledge of adobe illustrator, Photoshop or equivalent software packages
- Preferred Skills
- Experience working in UE4 with UMG
- Experience with SVN
