  4. Gameplay Programmer, Programmer, UI Programmer, UX Programmer

We have partnered with an exciting video games studio based in Liverpool, who require a Unity Developer to work on their up and coming titles.

As a Developer in this team, you will help code gameplay elements which contribute to an amazing experience. As well as contributing to the studios existing codebase, you’ll have a hand in developing new features and have your ideas implemented from concept to completion for a new PC/Console title.

The successful candidate will work closely with Game/Level designers, Artists and Animators in defining the core gameplay systems of the title, such as player progression, UI, interaction, inventory management, bug fixing and player movement/controls.

This role can offer this developer a chance to own quite a large area of the project and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team. This would suit a generalist programmer who enjoys a flat structure, where they can get involved with different disciplines of programming, assist with rapid prototyping and attend regular games industry events.

The role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your code in an open-plan environment, where ideas are commonly contributed, and everyone has an input on the project. If you enjoy working in a small, collaborative team with a great financial backing then we’ll be interested in hearing from you.

This role is 100% remote working; however, you must be UK based for monthly meetings in the future.

Requirements

  • At least 1 years’ experience in the video games industry
  • Familiar with Unity 3D
  • Released at least 1 title on Console platforms
  • Previously been hands on through certification processes, (TRC, XR, Lotchecks)
In addition to a great work life balance, the studio can offer perks such as pension, 28 days holiday, a bonus scheme and annual attendance to game events.
