About the job
The primary objective is green field development of the visual front ends for upcoming projects. This will involve the creation of assets which will form a company library for use across the product range going forward. The emphasis will be biased towards artistic creativity and aesthetics as the back end simulator control will be handled by another team member with whom you will be required to liaise regularly.
The company has accumulated a substantial amount of legacy Unity code and a secondary objective for this role is to work with the team to ascertain which elements can be extracted for re-use and advise on techniques for doing so. This will also involve bringing other team members up to speed on using the latest Unity platform.
The Opportunities
The company is currently working on updating the development tools and working processes, as the team is small this will be an opportunity to get involved with creating a modern software engineering environment from the ground up. There is a commitment to utilising the latest technologies to enhance the products and you will play a key role in the selection and implementation of these technologies. You will be involved in every aspect of the product development and will have a significant influence in team activities.
