Are you a highly skilled vehicle artist with a proven track record of creating Triple A quality vehicles and/or other hard surface game ‘characters’ (e.g. Mechs)?
Do you want to work for a brand new, well backed, start-up? Do you want to make a game with huge e-sports potential?
My client is a new studio comprised of very experienced developers with backgrounds including hit titles like Grand Theft Auto and Crackdown. The company is focused on new markets around video games as spectator sports (esports), and the brand new markets in spectator interaction with the game they are watching.
The company currently has seven staff working on a new digital sport, and is scaling further as a result of significant new private investment to bring the game to market on PC and console. This investment elevates the studio beyond the normal level of typical indie startups, making it a serious player with a title that is targeted to be alongside the top selling multiplayer games.
To be considered for this role, we'd be looking for:
- Recent and relevant experience as a 3D artist in the games industry
- Excellent 3D art skills in creating vehicles and other hard surface assets.
- Expert level ability with: 3DS Max, Photoshop, Substance Painter
- Excellent texture authoring skills
- A good knowledge of cutting edge shader techniques
- An updated and varied portfolio
This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting team with huge potential. There is unlimited opportunity here for a driven and ambitious artist. The salary on offer is completely negotiable and will be based around what you can bring to the studio. As one of the first new 'external' hires, you will be rewarded with further bonuses and opportunities etc when the game is live.
