Bored of the 9-5 office environment and fancy the freedom afforded by a role that allows you to work from almost anywhere in the world?

This is a great opportunity to combine the flexibility of a remote role with the stability of working with a one of the most respected video games developers in Europe. The studio is about to embark on an exciting new project which is a little bit different to what they are known for. Cinematics will be an area of major focus for them and they need an experienced Cinematics Director on board to help them out.

As a must, you need to have shipped a AAA game in a similar role. They need a visionary rock star so countless experience taking a script, creating animatics/storyboards/pre-vis and then taking that through the process of motion capture and building the cinematic to final quality is absolutely crucial. Please don’t apply if you haven’t done this.

Secondly, they need someone with both the technical knowledge of how to build a cinematic (animation, cameras, editing, facial expression, special effects etc..) and also an artistic eye to ensure a Hollywood quality level. Again, please don’t apply if you’ve never used an industry-standard product like MotionBuilder or Maya, or are unaware of familiar cinematography terms.

The game they are working on is extremely exciting and you’ll be in charge of taking their story and script and turning it into awesome cinematic sequences. You’ll have the freedom to direct the scene how you want, and be responsible for the overall quality level of them, making them yourself to set the benchmark standard that others need to achieve, and also managing a team and developing a pipeline and tools to get them all completed in good time and to great quality.

If the above sounds like it could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for then get in touch. For a casual chat about the role in more detail call me on 01925 839 722 or drop me an email on lee.burns@amiqus.com
