We are proud to be working with a team of talented indie developers based in sunny Tenerife! This studio has gone from strength to strength and they need a passionate Lead QA to join them.

The position is based in Tenerife and their new offices will be a Villa with a pool so if you fancy being on a permanent holiday get in touch! They also fully appreciate work life balance and are fantastic at accommodating hybrid working options.

This is one of their key hires and an exciting role to sink your teeth into. Not only will you be leading on their next release, you will be the go to QA managing external teams giving feedback on playtesting, reviewing game quality and be the face of the studio working with external development teams giving you a well-rounded role in the company and a chance to really expand your knowledge.

The Role

  • Oversee the QA department, taking ownership of performance and technical issues.
  • Liaise with external and internal teams to establish release timelines, quality and compliance
  • Defining and optimising best practices
  • Provide mentorship and leadership for other QA team members
  • Reviewing feedback for playtests
  • Provide clear documentation to report on and outline methods and processes
  • Lead the QA department in the reporting of bugs, issues and defects, consumer usability tests etc

About You!

  • You will have experience as in QA for PC or Console
  • Have leadership experience
  • You will have demonstrated experience creating and analysing technical procedures and have worked with numerous methodologies and tools
  • This role is highly collaborative, and you will be reporting on and delivering key findings/deliverables so clear communication skills in both written and verbal are a must.
  • Source control experience (Perforce/Github)
  • Experience with bug tracking databases and creating/maintaining test plans

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Unity and other disciplines eg: Art
