Business Intelligence Developer

A VR Studio based in Liverpool are looking to hire a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to work on their new Virtual Reality Social Platform, which brings together people from around the world, where they can interact, share content and go to a range a breath-taking environments.

The studio were formed by a range of veterans from the games industry, who have come from a long standing AAA console development background. 

As the BI Developer you will work closely with the current Data Team, making sure that the whole team can easily access user data to help with future business decisions.  You will be versatile, motivated and work on developing systems that will allow the team to analyse data, such as user log in times, locational users and identify opportunities for monetisation. You will completely own the database administration, data pipeline management and deploy python applications within a cloud based system. You’ll also help develop the systems and improve processes to give critical output. 

Whether your experience has come from Games, E-commerce, Gambling, VR or Banking – as long as you have managed and developed processes for large data systems and have a passion for VR industry, then we will be interested in hearing from you.    

Requirements 

• At least 2 years’ experience in a Data Analyst/Engineer/Scientist position
• Experience of working with large datasets across a multi-disciplined teams
• Hands on experience with any of the following SQL, Redshift, Kinesis, Kafka, Hadoop, Map/Reduce, Hive, Python, R or similar tools.
• Have a vision, drive and experience to create the Data culture
• An interest in VR and the Entertainment industry
