A Dundee based AAA Games studio are currently undergoing an expansion due to successful project demand and require a Senior Programmer to help develop a new title for XboxOne.
The studio founders have a long standing history in creating some of the best games in the market on console platforms and will give this programmer the opportunity to work on an immersive and expansive game.
As a Senior Developer in the team, you will be self-organised and be able to juggle your own workload, while assisting with the mentoring and development of a small coding team. Your primary responsibility will be to plug into different areas of the business, this will vary from development of core gameplay systems, interaction, player feedback and player progression.
This role will suit a generalist programmer who wants to work in a flat structure, where you can get involved with different disciplines of programming. You will also get to work closely with the Technical Director in defining the Development vision of the title, with the player in mind, in a highly customisable open world title.
This is a 100% remote role with trips to the studio when needed, so you must ideally be based in the UK.
Requirements
• At least 4 years’ experience in the games industry
• Shipped games, preferably on console or PC platforms
• Strong experience with C++ or C#
• Experience with high-end game engines such as Unreal (preferred) or Unity
• Good use of initiative and be able to work in a small team
In addition to a fantastic ‘indie-feel’ work environment, successful candidates can also take advantage of exclusive studio benefits such as a competitive salary, private health insurance and a fantastic holiday package. The studio are conveniently a short walk away from Dundee Train Station.
