Creative Director

A Newcastle based VR Studio are looking for a Creative Director to work on their award winning 3D visualisation software.

The technology has been renowned in different sectors and allows users to create and customise models, with an added bonus of bringing them to life using Kinect and VR technologies such as Oculus Rift.

The studio have already established themselves in the retail, commercial, exhibition and automotive industries and are looking to impress other industries with their technology. As a member of the development team you will be working on new and existing VR projects and be helping achieve high quality, photorealistic solutions to each project you undertake.

As the Creative Director you will be helping manage a small art team, as well as creating some of the stunning artwork for studios portfolio. You’ll play a key figure in the setup of the studio, making strategic decisions on the development processes, such as leading the studios hiring plans and overseeing the quality of each project.

You’ll work across all art disciplines, from Modelling, Composition and Motion Graphics so having an understanding of the whole art process would be a bonus. Your role will be to design and implement the technical and artistic pipeline for current creative projects, working closely with the CTO to make sure the studio meets the quality bar within the timelines set. 

Requirements 

• Previous experience in a Senior/Lead role with full understanding of directing, camera work, composition and production pipelines. 
• Background in a creative industry (games, entertainment, composition, film etc) 
• Experience with Photoshop and Maya or 3DS Max
• A portfolio containing photorealistic examples and good composition, a bonus if you have moving examples
• Automotive industry experience would be a bonus
