Generalist Artist

A Midlands based Independent Games studio are currently looking to expand their development team with a Generalist Artist hire to work on their hugely successful mobile title.

The title has surpassed over 31 million downloads and has over 350,000 daily average users. 

As the Artist in this team, you will model and texture assets to go into the title as well as spending time with fine tuning a range of gameplay stills for the iOS/Android app stores. You will ensure these stills are visually descriptive of the game and in turn, play an important part of attracting new players. The ideal candidate will enjoy working on a variety of models from hard surface modelling, environments, characters and assets. The more generalist you are, the better! If you are more specialist, we’d still be interested in hearing from you. 

You will work hand in hand with the Art Director and play a big part with the growth of the studio and its users. You will have a good all-round portfolio with a variety of assets and a keen eye for how models are displayed and shown off.  

This role will offer you the chance to work with people on a day-to-day basis, who bring a collective portfolio of high-selling games. 

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience in the games industry as an artist 
• Strong understanding of 3D modelling and Lighting 
• Experience with Photoshop and either 3DS Max or Maya
• Knowledge of engines such as Unity (preferred) or Unreal
• A portfolio demonstrating your art experience
