DEVELOP:BRIGHTON: WHAT A GREAT FEW DAYS! (AND ANOTHER AWARD FOR THE TEAM!)
Boss Lady
- Meet the team
The Amiqus team has just about recovered from a super busy and exciting few days in Brighton for the Develop Conference and Awards.
The icing on the cake for us was picking up the Recruitment Star Award at the Develop Star Awards. We’re always incredibly grateful and honoured for the industry to vote and give us an accolade like this; we are never complacent, and always look to do more to help our clients and candidates achieve their goals. Thank you to everyone who voted for us, and to the teams at Tandem Events and Bastion who hosted such a slick and enjoyable evening of celebration. The full list of well-deserving winners is here.
The three-day Develop: Brighton event is so important to everyone working in the UK games industry – plus those from further afield. We’ve already seen suggestions that it’s extended to a full week – hardly surprising given how busy the event was for everyone, including the team at Amiqus.
Outside of meetings, we enjoyed as many conference sessions as we could: of particular note was the roundtable on Creating Allyships in Games presented by Mick Morris of Psyop and Gina Jackson of SKILLfull, plus the LGBTQ+ Roundtable hosted by Sumo Group’s Leon Killin and Ladell Smith of Auroch Digital. Both were incredibly inspiring and provided much food for thought. We hope to work with all those involved to keep moving these important topics forward.
And, of course, we thank the organisers of all the ‘after-hours’ events that allowed us to catch up with friends, colleagues and peers, not least Ukie’s #RaiseTheGame for its Festival of Food, Women in Games (Fizz & Cake), Tandem Events (VIP Drinks Reception), Gamesindustry.biz (Summer Party). And, of course, the Develop Star Awards… did we mention we picked up an award…#21?
Thanks to everyone for such a great few days in Brighton – business, networking and celebration.
Next stop: Gamescom!
